1st Week of March

MONDAY
  • Went running today. Not for too long. Just 22 minutes. It was soooooo cooooooold outside.

FRIDAY

  • Has anyone noticed my header has changed? To a 'FITNESS' Chronicle. LOL!! Well, Since I'm not winning the weight part, no need emphasizing it in my title so I'll settle on just being fit. (smile)
  • I havent run anymore this week. Recovering from a bout of cold that started on Tuesday or Wednesday I think. But I think I've gotten over tthe worst bit of it.
  • My body aches so much these days I just dont know why. All I do is walk around and go about my normal everyday business but I hurt so much as if I've been running or exercising. It just makes me wonder what is going on.
  • Our 3rd running partner wants us to go running tomorrow. If I feel better in the morning, I just may go running with her. Its been quite a while.

At least you went running, I still haven't had the opportunity to try out my new running shoes because last week was really busy for me, then I had a bad tummy and excuses, excuses,!

I feel better now so I'll be going for a much needed and missed long run.

What races have you registered for?

Hmmmn, Only one race so far - RFL. One Guy who stays in the Midlands on Runners World Forum wants to transfer his London 10000 place as he & his partner are no longer running and I've been trying to convince him to give it to me. Seems he also booked hotel accomodation and is looking for someone he can transfer both to at the same time.

I have registered for Race for Life and Windsor Half Marathon... If I don't find any 10k races, I'll just keep doing long 1hour plus runs at least once a weekend... I'm hoping Run For London happens this year...

What do you mean - "If I can't find any 10km races?" They are races all over the place looking for entrants!" LOL! But then, U take part in Regents Park 10km on a monthly basis don't u?

I went on a registering spree yesterday. Registered for Great Capital Run, Windsor 8K & O2 Half. There's massive dent in my pocket right now.

The regents park 10ks are full for the next few months....
Honestly I don't want to spend too much money on the races and some of them are just ridiculously expensive... haba!
The Great Capital run is the day after my 5k so I doubt I'll do that... I just checked out the o2 half marathon... £30 is a lot o. I'm still on the lookout for reasonably priced races... Hopefully Run London will be happening this year...

Are you interested in registering for the British 10k? The Asics one on July 6th?

I am thinking about taking part for a charity...

Thanks for stopping by. Weldone on the running. I have slowed down to once a week. Didnt get into London Marathon (Thank God), so taking it easy.

See ya

@LB:Are all the places gone for online entry? It is a popular & terribly overcowded race. There were at least 20,000 runners last yr. I would have been interested but I want to run the 5K instead starting an hr earlier to compare my performance with last yr's and see if I've improved. (smile)s

@Babawilly: Want to try Edinburgh Marathon instead? I learnt its on a very flat surface and quite enjoyable too. (smile)
